    1. Day 1 Arrival at Location

      Guests will be met at the ticket office of Herculaneum by their guide, who will carry an easy to identify sign reading, Pompei Grand Tour.

      The visit will proceed with a general introduction and overview of the site, to make, their way down into the city to visit an ancient bar (thermopolium), thermal baths, a sacred shrine dedicated to Augustus, styles of differing villas and houses like the House of Neptune and Amphitrite and also the gorgeous House of the Stags.

      Then the Palestra with the pool, walking underneath the surges layer (ash and volcanic mud that sealed at higer temperature) that buried Herculaneum

      Finalizing the tour will be an exit via the beach area, where the skeletons of the people that could not escape the fury of the water are contained

    It is advised to wear comfortable shoes at all times of the year.  During the summer months sunscreen, water and a hat is also recommended for the visit

    It is forbidden to bring inside the excavation site of Herculaneum handbags, backpacks, luggage, cases, exceeding 30x30x15 cm.
